It was very easy to install (less than a few minutes) and held a substantial amount of gear (2 pairs of skis, 3 snowboards, and 3 pairs of boots). It is a 3-bike rack, and while I only took 2 bikes this trip, there was sufficient room for a 3rd in the middle. The engineering/design is great and this particular model is worth the extra for the options of taking DH or eBikes as well as other bikes (we had 1x 27.5inch and 1x 29er). I took it on its maiden 1,000km voyage and it lived up to the reputation that Thule has - the bikes didn't move an inch and it was a very smooth ride.
